Description


For a standard period of seven semesters, the engineering bachelor degree course „Bachelor of Engineering in Surveying and Geoinformatics” can be completed at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. The course has a comprehensive study program, which encompasses the areas of tachymetry, levelling, satellite measurement, laser scanning, remote sensing, land management, geographic information system, CAD and visualization techniques. The design of the curriculum deepens the basic knowledge gathered in the first two semesters, through a specialization in the last ones, and the internship in the fifth semester. The last stage is scheduled for the bachelor’s thesis. IT and recording systems accompany the work of the specialists with this qualification. They can expect to be employed in an engineering office, the surveying administration, GIS industry, energy supply companies, or local authorities.
