The University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, founded in 1897, is a public university seated in Zwickau, Saxony. It has further locations in Schneeberg, Reichenbach, and Markneukirchen. The University breaks down into eight faculties: the Faculty of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Physical Engineering/Computer Science, the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Applied Art Schneeberg, the Faculty of Healthcare and Nursing, as well as the Faculty of Applied Languages and Intercultural Communication. The University of Applied Sciences Zwickau accomodates some 4,700 students in Bachelor, Master, and Diploma degree programs. Potential forms of studies are full-time studies, dual studies, extra-occupational studies, and part-time studies. The dual studies offered are “Automotive Engineering“, “Automotive Electronics“, “Mechanical Engineering“, “Computer Sciences“, “Electrical Engineering“, “Industrial Management and Engineering“, “Building Energy and Air Conditioning Technology“, and “Microtechnology“. The scope of extra-occupational studies includes the study courses “Applied Health Sciences“, “Business Administration“, “Computer Sciences“, “International Business“, “Production Optimization“, “Environmental Technology and Recycling“, “Computer Science in Economics“, and “Industrial Management and Engineering“. In addition, the University offers international study courses, among them the binational Master course “Languages and Business Administration German – Chinese“, the trinational Master course “Regional and European Project Development“, as well as the binational Bachelor course “Fashion Design“.
