The University of Art and Design Linz, founded in 1973, is a public university seated in Linz, Upper Austria. It provides art studies, art and technical studies, cultural studies, inter-university studies, and teacher programs at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Diploma level. The scope of art studies includes the degree programs “Fine Art“ (Mag.art.), “Graphic Design and Photography“ (B.A.), “Visual Communication (Graphic Design & Photography)“ (M.A.), “Interface Cultures“ (M.A.), “Sculptural Conceptions“ (B.A./M.A.), “Fashion & Technology“ (B.A.), “Space and Design Strategies“ (B.A./M.A.), “Textile-Art-Design“ (B.A./M.A.), and “Time-Based and Interactive Media“ (B.A./M.A.). The range of art and technical studies comprises the study programs “Architecture“ (B.Arch./MArch.), and “Industrial Design scionic“ (B.Sc./M.Sc.). Added to this are the Master program “Media Culture and Art Theories“ (M.A.), the inter-university study program “Webscience“, as well as the teacher programs “Art Education“ (B.Ed./M.Ed.), “Media Design“ (B.Ed./M.Ed.), and “Design: Tech.Tex“ (B.Ed./M.Ed.). The University’s educational portfolio is rounded off by a PhD program. The University of Art and Design Linz currently has a total of round about 100 students.
