The University of Art Kassel offers the doctoral degree program “Art History and Aesthetics’’. The structure of this study allows participants to be self-responsible for their attendance at courses. The main goal is to execute an extensive research thesis with regular supervision by an allocated academic professor. Therefore, as a prerequisite for admission students must get in contact with the supervisor and conclude a contract that will include a supervision agenda for the whole period of studies. During the time of doing the research thesis, students will receive recurring questions and discussions about the structured progress of the project. Upon completion, students will acquire the title of Dr. phil.
