The degree program “Visual Arts’’ offered by the University of Art Kassel is designed to teach independent art and discover opportunities to work in all media and modes of expression. The period of study is ten semesters, entailing workshops, one-on-one and group discussions, lectures, and seminars. The classes are focused on art history, art studies, and philosophy. The study program aims to enhance the student’s own uniqueness of work through the open approach and full commitment in the classes. After successful completion of a final work (exhibition) and a final colloquium, the student will acquire a diploma of artistic university studies equivalent to a Master of Fine Arts degree.
