The University of Bern, founded in 1834, is a public university seated in Bern, Switzerland. It is divided into eight faculties: the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine, the Vetsuisse Faculty, the Faculty of Humanities, as well as the Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Human Science. The University of Bern currently has more than 17,500 students enrolled in 26 Bachelor programs, some 70 Master programs, and doctoral programs.
