The degree program “Master of Education in English-Speaking Cultures/English” offered by University of Bremen provides a consecutive German-language course of studies. Spanning a standard study period of four semesters, the curriculum is the sequel of the program “Bachelor of Arts in English-Speaking Cultures”. There are three main specializations from which students must select one to focus on: British, North American and Postcolonial Literatures; Linguistics: Varieties, Medialities, Applications, and British, North American and Postcolonial Cultural History. Having gained competence in those fields, graduates find a wide range of career options in professional fields where English is the dominant language instrument- in primary school, grammar schools, high schools, vocational schools and many more.
