The degree program “Master of Arts in English-Speaking Cultures: Language, Text, Media” offered by University of Bremen provides a consecutive English-language course of studies. Spanning a standard study period of four semesters, the curriculum is the sequel of the program “Bachelor of Arts in English-Speaking Cultures”. There are three main specializations from which students must select one to focus on: British, North American and Postcolonial Literatures; Linguistics: Varieties, Medialities, Applications; and British, North American and Postcolonial Cultural History. Having gained competence in the field, graduates are able to build successful careers in the subfields of linguistics or literature in universities and technical colleges, in foreign language adult education, test or teacher training institutes, cultural institutions, national and international organizations, in politics and many more.
