The degree program “Master of Education in History” offered by University of Bremen provides a consecutive German-language course of studies. Spanning a standard study period of four semesters, the curriculum aims to further develop students’ knowledge in history as well as their didactic skills. Here, the aim is to apply them in practice and in their vocations. Moreover, the course puts an emphasis on the specific subjects “Public History” and “Culture History”. Upon graduation, students meet all the necessary criteria to take on a teaching post in grammar schools and high schools. However, the course is restricted in admissions and applicants are required to present a Bachelor’s degree.
