The degree program “Master of Arts in International Romance Studies” offered by University of Bremen provides a consecutive German-language course of studies. Spanning a standard study period of four semesters, the curriculum is geared towards students who want to gain in-depth understanding of the literary, media and linguistic aspects of Roman languages. The curriculum pits its focus on Spanish and French languages, providing students with an opportunity to take on a bi-study option with Madrid or studying abroad. Extremely research-oriented, the program is in a cooperation with the Institute for Postcolonial and Transcultural Studies (INPUTS), the Bremen Institute for Canada and Québec Studies BIKQA), the Institute Ibero-America (IIA) and the Bremen Institute for Transmedia Textuality Research (BItT). Having gained competence in the field, graduates are sought-after specialists in the subfields of science with a Romance focus, media, publishing, intercultural training and many more. However, a Bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite in order to enroll in this program.
