The degree program “Master of Arts in Language Sciences” offered by University of Bremen provides a consecutive German-language course of studies. Spanning a standard study period of four semesters, the curriculum is geared towards students who want to deepen their understanding of linguistics and national philologies. During the course, endangered languages, descriptive linguistics, discourse linguistics, interdisciplinary linguistics, colonial and postcolonial linguistics, creolistics, multilingualism research, multimodal linguistics, landuage typology and many more subject-specific areas are explored. Upon graduation, students can work in universities or in non-university institutions that deal with language research.
