The “Master of Arts in African Studies and Egyptology” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. With an interdisciplinary approach, the double degree provides instruction in the fundamental methodologies, theories, and working procedures of African Studies and Egyptology, leading to a linguistic, classical studies, or cultural-anthropological concentration in one of the two study profiles. The course is taught entirely in English, but an admission requirement is knowledge of the African language amounting to 10 SWS.
