The “Master of Arts in Ancient Languages and Cultures/Ancient History” program at the University of Cologne is designed to prepare graduates who will gain in-depth knowledge and methodological skills based on their bachelor's degree. Over the course of 4 full-time semesters, the curriculum is a research-based model for strengthening and expanding knowledge and abilities gained through a suitable bachelor's degree. The Master's program prepares students to apply historical methodologies to new issues autonomously and reflectively, as well as to practice professional oral and written presentations of scientific theses and discoveries. Admission requirements include a bachelor’s degree in (Ancient) History, 40 relevant CP, with a minimum grade 2.5.
