The “Master of Arts in Archaeology” program at the University of Cologne is with a standard length of 4 semesters. Prehistory and Early History (UFG), Classical Archeology (KA), Archeology of the Roman Provinces (AdRP), Egyptology (GY), and Archaeoinformatics are all taught as a combined programme of study (ArchIT). Students pick one of the five topic areas to study at the start of their education. The choice of subject-specific emphasis modules is influenced by this decision. Admission requirements depend on the choice of candidates, i.e. whether they choose a one- or two-subject degree.
