The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Basic Language Education” is offered by University of Cologne with a duration of 6 semesters. The curriculum should be studied in combination with special education subject I and II, subject I or learning area I, teaching subject II or learning area II. During the course, students acquire technical and didactic competencies. Moreover, models of language learning are taught under linguistically difficult conditions in children and adolescents with special educational needs. However, for admission, knowledge of one language on level B2 is required, level A2 GER in another language, as well as a sufficient knowledge of English.
