The “Master of Science in Biochemistry” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. It offers in-depth studies in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, and molecular medicine, as well as translational issues. The curriculum emphasizes basic research with chances for applied research. The major goal is to prepare students to conduct autonomous biochemical research in specified molecular life science competency areas. A Bachelor's certificate (or equivalent) in Biochemistry or a related biochemical study program in natural sciences with at least 180 credit points and a final grade of "excellent" (i.e. 2,5) or better is required for admission.
