The “Master of Science in Chemistry” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. Three advanced and three experimental modules from inorganic, organic, physical, theoretical, and biochemical are included in the course. 3 project modules, one of which includes a research proposal, from the following options: inorganic, organic, physical, theoretical (quantum) chemistry, biochemistry, technical, nuclear, and/or macromolecular chemistry, genetics, computer sciences, pharmacology and toxicology, physiological chemistry, 1 supplementary module, and a master's thesis. Admission requirements include a bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credit points in the following areas: Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, and in total at least 60 credit points.
