The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry” is offered by University of Cologne. It amounts to 6 semesters. The following subject combinations are provided: core compulsory subject, another subject or a core subject or a special education subject in chemistry is studied as a core subject. The interdisciplinary curriculum comprises 10 modules. Moreover, aiming to strengthen the practical relevance, an internship well as an exercise or a seminar are included. General chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Fundamental aspects of subject didactics, Organic Chemistry and other essential areas are taught. Upon graduation, graduates are able to work at grammar schools and comprehensive schools. However, for admission, level B1 in one language is required, level A2 GER in another language, as well as a sufficient knowledge of English.
