The “Master of Education in Educational Sciences” program at the University of Cologne is with a study profile for teaching at grammar schools and comprehensive schools. It combines courses from a variety of faculties and learning contexts, including university and practical school teacher training schools, over the course of four semesters. The practical semester, which will include the school as a learning environment as well as centers for practical school teacher training, will take place in the second semester. The previous semester's registration takes place. Admission criteria include a Bachelor's degree with an "appropriate teaching certification" and "compatible" disciplines, as well as documentation of at least 144 relevant credit points from completed modules.
