The German-taught degree program “Bachelor of Arts in English” is offered by University of Cologne with a standard duration of 6 semesters. It is provided in combination with the following subjects: Learning area I: Basic language education, Learning area II: Basic mathematical education and Learning area III or a subject. During the curriculum, students get an insight of the English-language literatures and cultures in the present and history. Moreover, culture and media didactics are taught.  Upon graduation, graduates become sought-after specialists at primary schools. However, for admission, level B1 in one language is required, level A2 GER in another language, as well as a sufficient knowledge of English.
