The “Master of Education in English” program at the University of Cologne is with a study profile for teaching at grammar schools and comprehensive schools. Over the course of 4 semesters, the degree incorporates courses from several faculties and learning environments, such as universities and practical school teacher training institutions. In the second semester, there will be a practical semester that includes the school as a learning environment as well as centers for practical school teacher training. A Bachelor's degree with "suitable teaching certification" and "compatible" fields, as well as verification of at least 144 relevant credit points from completed courses, are all required for admission.
