The “Master of Education in English” program at the University of Cologne is designed with a study profile for teaching at Lower Secondary, Secondary Modern and Comprehensive Schools. A range of courses are blended into the curriculum throughout the course of 4 full-time semesters in order to build on students' prior knowledge and mold them into specialists ready to face everyday professional problems. Admission criteria include a Bachelor's degree with an “appropriate teaching certification" and "compatible" disciplines, as well as documentation of at least 144 relevant credit points from completed modules.
