The “Master of Arts in Gender and Queer Studies” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. Students gain gender-sensitive methodological expertise in application-oriented sectors of work such as intervention and counseling during the program. In conjunction with the professional profile already gained through the bachelor's degree, a specialized specialization in gender and queer studies will be expanded. Specialist knowledge is employed in a variety of fields, including political and organizational consulting, as well as social work and teaching. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must present a relevant Bachelor’s degree, 12 LP from Gender & Queer Studies events and sufficient German language skills.
