Description
The “Master of Science in Geography” program at the University of Cologne offers both a major and a minor in geography. Geology, physics, ethnology, urban planning (Bonn), and soil science are some of the minor disciplines available (Bonn). On application to the Geography Master Examination Board, another minor topic may be granted. Over the course of 4 semesters, students build on their previously-acquired skills and gain in-depth knowledge and expertise. Admission requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Geography or equivalent qualification and English at level B2. Graduates are able to work in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), science-related journalism (e.g., publishers, media), architectural offices for state and regional planning, urban development planning, city and district planning, environmental organizations and more.
