Description


The “Master of Education in German Sign Language” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. The goal is for students to get in-depth theoretical and practical skills and abilities in order to teach German sign language or work in professional domains in public and private education. Linguistics of German Sign Language, Deaf Studies, Language Practice German Sign Language, Bilingual didactics and methodology, Identity promotion and diagnostics of bilingual education and other subjects are part of the curriculum.
