The interdisciplinary six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Science in Health Economics” is offered by University of Cologne. It is taught in German in general but some designated events are held in English. Moreover, the program is extremely empirical and theoretical, aiming to convey basic knowledge of the economic side of health care in general. However, for admission to the course, good mathematical skills are required as well as sufficiency in German language and in another foreign language. Upon graduation, graduates are able to build successful careers at clinics, larger medical practices, health insurance companies, institutions, organizations and companies in the health industry and many more.
