The “Master of Science in Health Economics” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. The course consists of a basic and advanced area in which basic knowledge of health economics is taught, a focus area with seminars and focus modules in health economics and medicine, a supplementary area with optional modules from economics, sociology, business administration and/or medicine, and a master's thesis. Graduates are prepared for future work in both public and private health care facilities. Individual management, administration, and associations, as well as health policy control agencies, are all part of the health economic activity.
