The “Master of Arts in History” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. The degree's major goal is to educate students with historical scientific ideas and methodologies, to lead them through autonomous study, and to prepare them to communicate their findings in an accessible and target group-oriented oral, written, and visual format. They will be able to gain vital key certifications for scientific and professional practice as a result of this. Admission requirements include English B2, another modern foreign language A2, medieval history English B2, Latin to the extent of Latin, another modern foreign language A2, modern history and public history: English B2 and two other foreign languages to A2.
