The two-subject program “Master of Arts in History” at the University of Cologne offers to enhance and expand information and abilities already obtained in a bachelor's degree in a research-oriented, outstanding manner. Its design allows for a highly personalized combination of topics of study, and it offers in-depth knowledge of antiquity, the Middle Ages, current times, and public history, depending on the subject of study chosen. Over the course of 4 full-time semesters, students are able to expand their expertise in the field. English B2, another modern foreign language A2, medieval history English B2, Latin to the degree of Latin, another modern foreign language A2, modern history and public history: English B2 and two other foreign languages to A2 are the admission criteria.
