The “Master of Science in Information Systems” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 semesters. The course is divided into four sections: the basic and advanced areas, which teach basic methodological and content-related knowledge of business informatics; the focus area, which includes modules from the fields of information systems and computer science as well as two focus seminars; the supplementary area, which includes optional modules from business administration, social sciences, and economics, and the supplementary area, containing optional modules from business administration, social sciences, and economics, as well as a master's thesis. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must present a relevant bachelor’s degree.
