The "Master of Education in Learning Area Basic Mathematical Education" program at the University of Cologne is for students who desire to teach in primary schools. Over the course of four semesters, the degree includes courses from a number of faculties and learning environments, including university and practical school teacher training schools. Registration for the preceding semester takes place. A Bachelor's degree with "suitable teaching certification" and "compatible" fields, as well as evidence of at least 144 relevant credit points from completed courses, are all requirements for admission.
