The "Master of Education in Listening and Communication" program at the University of Cologne is designed for students who desire to teach at vocational schools. A varied range of courses are introduced into the curriculum over the course of four full-time semesters in order to build on students' past knowledge and mold them into experts capable of facing the rigors of ordinary professional life. A Bachelor's degree is required, as is verification of 144 applicable credit points from completed courses, as well as "suitable teaching certification" and "compatible" disciplines.
