The "Master of Education in Music" program at the University of Cologne is designed with a study profile for teaching at Lower Secondary, Secondary Modern and Comprehensive Schools. A variety of courses are integrated into the curriculum over the course of four full-time semesters to build on students' prior knowledge and mold them into specialists capable of dealing with real-world scenarios. Admissions criteria include a Bachelor's degree with "appropriate teaching certification" and "compatible" subjects, as well as proof of at least 144 relevant credit points from completed courses.
