The degree program “Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience” is offered by University of Cologne with a duration of 6 semesters. During the course, participants gain the so-called basic skills and abilities related to the neurosciences. However, solid basic knowledge of mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry and a good command of English are required for admission. The core curriculum includes Basics of publishing activities including the use of English as a scientific language, Project management, Basics of bioinformatics, Basics of epidemiology and other essential areas. In addition, an internship is integrated, giving students a direct insight into the practice of neuroscientific research in industrial and academic areas. Having gained competence in the field, graduates become sought-after specialists in the subfield of neuroscience.
