The “Master of Arts in Philosophy” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. The degree enhances comprehension of historical settings of philosophical topics and viewpoints, as well as insight into historical contexts of problems. Above all, students are taught how to read in a systematic manner, detect logical arguments, and generate arguments on their own. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must submit a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, English B2, and Latin to the extent of the small Latinum.
