The “Master of Arts in Prevention and Intervention in Childhood” program at the University of Cologne spans across 4 full-time semesters. The degree's goal is to help students develop technical, methodological, social, and personal skills so that they can implement theory- and evidence-based multimodal prevention and intervention with vulnerable children and families in a multi-professional team, thereby contributing to health promotion and family participation. Moreover, the course should enable students to freely use research methodologies, allowing academic assessment and reflection on acknowledged scientific standards up to and including a PhD.
