The "Master of Education in Protestant Religious Education" program at the University of Cologne lasts four semesters. The degree is designed for teaching in grammar and comprehensive schools and comprises courses from a variety of faculties and learning environments, including university, practical school teacher training centers (ZfsL), and schools. The Institute for Protestant Theology offers a Protestant religious academic program. In the second semester, the practical semester will incorporate the school as a learning environment as well as centers for practical school teacher training. A bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required for admission.
