The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Protestant Religious Education” is offered by University of Cologne with a standard duration of 6 semesters. It has to be studied in combination with another subject. However, for admission, one language at level B1 GER, another language at level A2 GER and knowledge of Greek, Latin and Hebrew is required. The theological-religious-pedagogical teacher training takes into account the general teaching and learning requirements of primary schools, especially from a didactic perspective. Moreoever, general knowledge and methodological competences are acquired.
