The University of Cologne's "Master of Education in Protestant Religious Education" curriculum lasts four semesters. The degree is intended for use in vocational colleges and includes courses from a range of faculties and learning contexts, including as universities, practical school teacher training centers (ZfsL), and schools. A Protestant religious academic program is offered by the Institute for Protestant Theology. The practical semester will include the school as a learning environment as well as centers for practical school teacher training in the second semester. Admission to the program requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
