The “Master of Arts in Regional Studies Eastern and Central Europe” program at the University of Cologne is with a length of 4 full-time semesters. Students can select between Russian and Polish as part of the required topic Eastern and Central European Studies. As an optional course, students can choose from three fields of law: East German law, economics (VWL), or social sciences. The mix of required and elective studies generates an individually distinctive quality profile that qualifies graduates for a variety of tasks relevant to Eastern and Central European transformation societies. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must submit a relevant Bachelor’s degree, according to their field of specialization.
