Description


The teacher training course “Bachelor of Arts in Special Education Specialization: Hearing and Communication” is offered by University of Cologne with a standard amount of 6 semesters. The following combinations are available: special needs education I and II, Subject I or learning area I, Teaching subject II or learning area II FS hearing and communication is studied as special needs education II. The curriculum for special needs education makes students able to deal with heterogeneity and diversity in an educational and didactic way. In addition, socio-economic, cultural and linguistic aspects of disability are taken into account during the course. However, for admission, level B1 in one language is required, level A2 GER in another language, as well as a sufficient knowledge of English.
