The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Special Education Specialization: Language” is offered by University of Cologne. Its duration is 6 semesters. The following combinations are provided: special needs education I and II, subject I or learning area I, Teaching subject II or learning area II FS language is studied as special needs education II. The program makes students able to deal with heterogeneity and diversity in an educational and didactic way, following the guiding principle of inclusion, self-determination and participation. However, for admission, level B1 in one language is required, level A2 GER in another language, as well as a sufficient knowledge of English. Having gained competence in the field, graduates have excellent career prospects.
