The Heinrich Heine University offers the Master’s degree “Master of Science in Biology – One Year (MBIO1)”. It is divided into two semesters. The main goal of this postgraduate course is to provide the students with a chance to expand their academic knowledge and skills in the area of biology. Therefore, the students will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in biochemistry, its history and evolution, environmental sciences, structural, cell and synthetic biology, and many others, in order to become highly qualified to work within the biological industry. At the end of their studies, the participants will need to prepare a Master’s thesis. The admission requirements consist of a finalised English Bachelor’s degree in biology or any similar field, proof of aptitude tests, as well as language proficiency: English.
