The Heinrich Heine University offers the Master’s degree “Master of Arts in Historical Studies”. This Master’s program consists of four semesters. At the end of semester four, the students need to prepare a Master’s thesis. This course has the purpose to help the participants in the process of learning the basics of history, its development and sciences. Throughout this postgraduate course, the students will deepen their already gained understanding in history analysis, historians’ findings and literature, as well as they will expand their abilities in history’s research methodologies. After successful graduation, the participants will be qualified to work within museums, historical events, schools, universities, etc. The entry requirements include a finalised Bachelor’s degree in the field of history, as well as language skills: German.
