The Heinrich Heine University offers the Master’s degree “Master of Arts in Italian and German: Language, Media, Translation”. It consists of four semesters. It is mainly taught in Italian and German, but the students can also make a choice between different foreign languages. The main goal of this Master’s degree is to deepen the students’ knowledge and abilities in both Italian and German. Therefore, during this postgraduate program the participants will furtherly understand the languages, their history, didactics and development, as well as the connection between the languages with the media. The future graduates will be qualified to work within translation agencies, cultural departments, communication departments, education and variety of other places. The admission requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in any related major, as well as language proficiency: Italian C1.
