The Master’s degree “Master of Arts in Japanese Studies” is offered at Heinrich Heine University. This course is divided into four semesters and is taught in German. Throughout this program the students can also choose to learn a foreign language. The main goal of this Master’s degree is to develop the students already gained knowledge in the fields of Japanese history, language, and culture. The future graduates will be highly qualified to work within international corporations in Japan, as well as across communication services, public relations, cultural organisations, etc. The admission requirements include a finalised Bachelor’s degree in the field of Japanese studies with a grade of 2.6, as well as language proficiency in English.
