Description
The Master’s program “Master of Arts in Literary Translation” is provided by Heinrich Heine University as four-semester German-taught course. Throughout this course the students can also choose to learn other foreign languages, such as English, French, Italian or Spanish. The main goal of this postgraduate degree is to prepare the students for future career pathways that are connected with literary translations. Furthermore, throughout this course the participants will get knowledge and skills in research analysis, cultural literary aspects, languages’ history, etc. The students also get the opportunity to take an internship program in Europe. The future graduates will be highly qualified to work within the publishing industry, cultural management and events, translation agencies, European translation institutions and many others. The admission requirements consist of a finalised Bachelor’s degree in a similar field, with at least 2.5 grade, as well as language proficiency: German C2.
