University of Finance Rhineland-Palatinate (Hochschule für Finanzen Rheinland-Pfalz), founded in 1981, is an internal administrative educational institution seated in Edenkoben, Rhineland-Palatinate. It provides more than 500 students with a dual study program in “Tax Law“, leading to the degree of Diplom-Finanzwirt. The study program breaks down into a three-step basic study phase, involving an intermediate examination after four months, and a ten-month main study phase, in which students are required to write a term paper and take written examinations. The study program ends with an oral exmination. Successful graduates of University of Finance Rhineland-Palatinate are usually employed in the upper grade of civil service of tax administrations in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, respectively. Students of University of Finance Rhineland-Palatinate have a civil servant status right from the outset of their studies.
