The University of Flensburg, founded 1994, is a public university seated in Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein. It provides round about 5,300 students with study opportunities at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. The fields of study include humanities and theologies, educational sciences, art, teacher education, special education, textiles and music, natural sciences, mathematics, technology, health and nutrition, general studies, European studies, language, culture and media studies, social sciences, sports science, and economics. The focal point of the University’s educational portfolio is teacher education and International Management. In accordance with its international orientation, the scope of study offerings includes a number of foreign-language or bilingual study courses, namely the Bachelor degree courses “European Cultures & Society“ (English), “International Management“ (German, English, Danish, Spanish), as well as the Master degree courses “European Studies“ (English), “International Management Studies“ (German, English, Danish, Spanish), “Culture-Language-Media“ (German, English), “Prevention and Health Promotion“ (German, English), “Energy and Environmental Management in Developing Countries“ (English), and “Energy and Environmental Management in Industrial Countries“ (English, German). Depending on the respective study program, graduates receive a B.A., M.A., M.Ed., and M.Eng. The University of Flensburg also provides the opportunity to obtain a doctoral degree.
