The University of Geneva, founded in 1873, is a public university seated in Geneva, Switzerland. With a total of almost 16,500 students, it is Switzerland’s second-largest university. The University accomodates nine faculties: the Faculty of Economics and Management (GSEM – Geneva School Economics and Management), the Faculty of Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, as well as the Faculty of Theology. The study offer ranges from 32 Bachelor programs, 119 Master programs and 77 MAS programs, through 95 doctoral/PhD programs, to continuing education programs. Culminating in a Bachelor’s degree are, for example, the following degree programs: “Economics and Management“, “Geography and Environmental Studies“, “Political Science“, “Sociology“, “Biochemistry“, “Biology“, “Earth and Environmental Science“, and “Information Systems and Services Sciences“. Leading to a Master’s degree are the study programs “International Law“, “International Affairs“, “International Economics“, “Global Health“, “Middle East Studies“, “Business Analytics“, “Mathematics and Computer Science“, “Neuroscience“, and “Speech and Language Therapy“. The scope of MAS programs includes the study programs “Microbiology“, “Hospital Pharmacy“, “Medical Informatics“, “Dentistry“, “Psychological Evaluation and Intervention“, “Children’s Rights“, “European and International Governance“, “International Law in Armed Conflict“, as well as “Sports Administration and Technology“. The majority of study programs is conducted in English.
